Mark joined FairHeat in September 2019. As a Graduate Engineer, he is developing his consulting skills in all areas of heat network performance. After studying a Masters’ degree in Chemical Engineering at Newcastle University, Mark gained experience as a Project Engineer in the facilities and energy department of BASF. This involved the energy management of steam and power networks which sparked his interest in renewables, energy efficiency and decarbonisation. He is often visiting sites and working to design and model cost effective measures which maximise heat network performance for a number of clients. Through his work, Mark has acquired a wide-ranging interest in the energy sector as he works towards becoming a Chartered Engineer.
